Hmmm ...Chocolate - Packed on a Compact Machine!

SOMIC will make its grand entrance with 2 exhibits from its new SOMIC 424 generation of end-of-line packaging machines. The Upper Bavarian family company will demonstrate its trend-setting packaging technology that operates with a modular mechatronic system. The featured SOMIC 424 W 24 Wrap-Around-Packer and the SOMIC 424 DT 27 Cover-Tray-Packer fulfill different end-of-line packaging requirements despite obvious similarities. While the Wrap-Around-Packer features a single-piece-packaging concept, the Cover-Tray-Packer is based on a trendy multi-part packaging concept.
An astonishingly large format range is included for Tray or Wrap-Around-Carton packaging despite the remarkable compactness of the machines. 300 bars of chocolate per minute are dispensed from a feeder and processed on the Wrap-Around-Packer.
The Cover-Tray-Packer collects, groups and packs 4-sided sealed pouches with spices in a two-part "shelf-ready" packaging design. Both systems will be demonstrated live to visitors, as is customary with Somic.
