Box coverers consist of modules from the SOMIC 424 mechatronic programme according to the customer's packaging requirements.
The SOMIC 424 DA box coverer can be equipped with individual format tools for several varying case models. This allows unlimited flexibility within the format range, which is why every SOMIC 424 machine is so distinctive.
Sequence of functions:
The filled tray is fed into the covering station from the start position. The cover blank is deposited and in a second step glued and positioned over the tray. The cover is placed over the filled tray, folded and glued in the same cycle.
... It is also possible to join the tray and cover with adhesive.
... Trays without covers can also be transported through the box coverer.
