Crate erectors

  • for producing flat crates, stackable crates and double crates for cups as well as flat, open trays and cases

Crate erectors are put together using of modules from the SOMIC 424 mechatronic programme according to the customer's packaging requirements.

The SOMIC 424 ST crate erector can be equipped with individual format tools for varying crate and case models. This allows unlimited flexibility within the format range, which is why every SOMIC 424 machine is so distinctive.

Sequence of functions:

The flat crate blank is removed from the blank magazine and positioned exactly on the vacuum conveyor at the first machine station. At the second station, the crate is then precisely erected by the folding head and matrix and glued with hot melt adhesive. At the third station, the perforated sheet that takes the cups is folded and glued. Gluing the flaps of the perforated sheet to the bottom of the crate serves to stiffen the crate.
